It is required to detect if there are persons present in the dangerous area before and during the robot running at two stations to provide the safety function of Restart Prevention. It can be used for the initial startup as well as for each forklift loading and unloading.

The solution includes 1pz S201A-W + 1pz S203A-W safety radar sensors and 1pz C203A control unit. C203 series control units have Digital I/O and USB interface as basic configuration. C202 series have Ethernet(MODBUS) interface for remote access and configuration. C201 series have PROFIsafe or FSoE interface to connect with the user's safe PLC.

personnel are detected for 4 seconds, the safety output turns to a high voltage to allow machine start up.

When the robot is running, the safety radar is muted。When the access detection safety switch is triggered, the safety radar is unmuted.

#2 radars ensure that the obstructed area of the # 1 radar can also be detected even when the pallet is fully loaded. There are some blind spots around the conveyor roller bed, mechanical blocking methods need to be considered to prevent risks.

Due to the conveyor roller bed being constantly in motion, #2 radar uses 203A-W (vertical angle 12 degrees and small gray zone) to avoid possible false alarms.
